Bulgarian Education Lacks Practicality - Survey Sofia_News_Agency - 2005/11/7
Much of Bulgaria's highschool education cannot be put into practical use, according to a recent survey.

That refers in particular to economics classes, the Vitosha Research study has shown, as cited by media.

They have interviewed 85 businessmen and found out that highschool curriculums were inadequate to practical requirements.

Graduates usually have good knowledge of theory but lack practical skills, the report has said.

It recommended traineeships for students as well as for the teachers at business enterprises. At present, only a fifth of students have entered any company as trainees.
