CSD Drafts a Bill Regulating The Use Of Electronic Signature BTA - 2000/4/18
A bill regulating the use of electronic signature will be
introduced in the Council of Ministers by the year's end, Grozdan
Karadjov, Chief Secretary of the Transport and Communications
Ministry, told a news conference on Monday. The main provisions
are being drafted by experts of the Center for the Study of
Democracy and the American Bar Association. The leaders of the
Bulgarian Association for Information Technology said they were
planning to take part in the drafting. An exhibition entitled
"BAIT Internet Expo and Telecomex 2000" is opening in Sofia on
April 19, said Ivan Ivanov, Manager of Bulgarreklama, one of the
organizers. The international exhibition will be held under the
auspices of the transport minister. Some 60 companies, including
the Bulgarian Telecoms Company (BTC), Mobikom, Mobiltel, Risk
Electronics and Siemens, as well as the Bulgarian Industrial
Association, have been invited. Specialized seminars on the
Internet services provided by the BTC and on the place of small
and medium-sized business on the Web will be held during the
April 19-22 exhibition.
